Timothy, thanks for the information. For what it's worth, the Detroit Public Library has a non-circulating edition of the same book. I plan on making a trip down there soon to see it. I am sure that any large-city library will have a copy of it.

Author Wallace, F. J. A.
Title The Abbe genealogy.
Publisher Frankford, Penn. : Martin and Allardyce,(19--)
Description [7] p. ; 21 cm.
Notes Title from cover.
"From notes by F.J.A. Wallace."
Subjects Abbey family
Abbe, John, d. ca. 1689.

For those who I have yet to meet, I am married to Darrell Brandenburg whose descended from John Abbe1 through:
John Abbe/Mary Loring
Samuel/Mary Knowlton
Ebenezer1/Mary Allen
Ebenezer2/Abigail Cary
Isaac/Eunice Church
Abner/Sarah Swetland
Daniel/Esther Nunn
Benjamin T1/Eliza Hilgerd
Benjamin T2/Emma Matthews
Olive Abbe/Forest Brandenburg

If anyone knows that I may have all of these connections out of order - or if Daniel is NOT the son of Abner, please let me know. I would hate to be all wrong on this line of life..... Also, just a fun fact - Ebenezer2 is the brother of Phineas Abbe and Phineas is the 4th ggf of Robert Abbe, noted physician, surgeon and scientist that lived in New York, NY. He also founded the world famous ABBE Museum in Maine. It has a website - go check it out!
Mary Brandenburg
p.s. does anyone know if David Abbey of Niles/St. Joe Michigan area is still reading posts or has a new email address!
