These are not meant to be personal attacks. What I am saying is don't jump to conclusions based on something that worked in the past. Naming patterns sometimes work, but not always. I like your enthusiasm,and your arguments are interesting. But don't take something you believe to be true and try to make it true without evidence.
I don't know how long you have been involved in genealogy, but might I recommend a book called The Source:A Guidebook OF American Genealogy by Szucs and Luebking. If you really want a very academic book on evidence try BCG Genealogical Standards Manual Book Genealogy. They are very good books.
Might I also recommend if you haven't already and are able, follow the track of your ancestors. Take a trip to Laurens County. Visit the courthouse, the cemetaries,and visit with some Abercrombie's who still live there. Then take a trip to Jackson and Hall Counties in Georgia,and do the same things there.Then, if you believe that we might be from somewhere else go there and find the proof. But get out and go ,the internet only scratches the surface.
