I am sorry ,but you keep refering to me saying that Colvill is John's son because of church records. I don't know were you got that information. I have never said that.
But I think I can make a good argument for it. I am descended from John through his son William. William and Colvill's children migrated together for many generations. My Great Grandfathe James the son of William is buried in the Sims Cemetary in Chambers County, Alabama. My ancestors refered to the Sims as there counsins. They also traveled with the Babb's, Thomason's,amd others from South Carolina to Georgia,to Alabama,to Arkansas, and some even to Texas. This relationship seems to be much more then distant counsins.
