He married CAROLINE LOUISE ABERCROMBIE January 14, 1880 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, daughter of JOHN ABERCROMBIE and MARY PATTERSON. She was born December 22, 1849 in St. Louis, St. Louis County, Missouri, and died in Rutherford, Bergen County, New Jersey.
Children of JOHN COALE and CAROLINE ABERCROMBIE are:
i. OLIVIA3 COALE, b. January 1882, New Jersey.
ii. IDA COALE, b. March 1884, New Jersey.
