Hi, Thanx to everyone who replied!! I was able to locate a phone # in FL for Denise Okkema and will try calling tomorrow. I posted that her LKA was Memphis, TN...but she was born in Chicago, IL. Sorry if I confused anyone!!
Peculiar story really. I'm helping a friend, Anita whose ex-husband, Larry at the age of 19 he was with a woman who was 35yrs old. They parted ways and he moved to another state where he met and married Anita. They have a son together. Anyway...years later Anita tracked this woman down in CA (I'm not sure exactlly why she wanted to find her) and was told that she had gotten pregnant by Larry and her family sent her to live with relatives in Chicago til the baby was born and that she had given her up for adoption! Bmom gave them her dob and told them she was born at Salvation Army home for unwed mothers. So I was searching for an adoptee!! A friend found the listing in IL with the mother's maiden, dob and county and lo and behold, there's a listing that fits BUT no indication it was an adoption!! So either this is the wrong person..or the bmom LIED to them! Thanx again everyone and I'll post when I talk to Denise and let ya all know if it's her or not ;) Leslie
