They may have been issued new birth certficiates as they were so young. The State of Illinois should have them listed with their original birth dates. Very possibly Larry was born on June 10. Will find out more from Betty when she's here on the 19th. She was still in the Woodstock Home when they were taken - maybe not Patti - but she did have some remembrance of when Larry was adopted out. I think Patti was adopted later. The same family may have come back for her. There is a local retired priest here in Woodstock - he is 71 yrs. old - June birthday - he retired so he could spend full time trying to find his family. He is still living here at the Church, to my knowledge. He may have had some health issues. He had hired a professional to find his family and had spent a fortune on it. He resigned from the priesthood so he, himself, could find them. There was a Reunion at the Woodstock Children's Home in the past year or so. He was ill so the new Pastor went in his place and took down all the original and new names of the people attending. That was published in the paper - stating that any family member could contact the Church for information. The DCFS read this notice and confiscated the list; but he may have made a copy. I'll try this in the next couple of weeks - vacation time for one of the younger priests who went to the Reunion.
