Eddie was born abt. 1935 in Long Beach, CA. His mother was Lula Mae Glascoe, age 14. Lula got into trouble and was arrested and when it was found that she was pregnant she was put into a Los Angeles County home for wayward girls in Los Angeles. She had her baby and brought him home to Long Beach. Lula lived with her mother Roseva Glascoe until she married Melious Nelson abt. 1938. Lula gave birth to a daughter Lorene Nelson in 1939 and was in the process of divorcing Nelson in 1940 when she disappeared. Lula had taken the bus from Long Beach to Wilmington to pick up her paycheck. She was never seen again. She had left Lorene with her father Nelson and had left Eddie with her roommate. When Lula didn't return the roommate turned Eddie over to Los Angeles County Social Services. Lula's family was in a turmoil trying to find her and didn't find out that Eddie had been given to Social Services until a week or so later. When they did find out Lula's sister and her husband went to Los Angeles County Social Services and were told that Eddie had been placed with a family that wanted to adopt him and they couldn't do anything about it. This all happened abt. 1940 and Eddie was about 41/2 at that time. Lula's family never found out what happened to him and his sister Lorene is still looking for him. If anyone on this forum has any ideas how Eddie might be found we would welcome hearing them. Thanks in advance for any help.
