As stated previously, the Creek People never reside in or near North Carolina.
They, like the Cherokee and many other Indian Nations, have a well documented and accurate history.

And, as both the WELCH and BLACKSHEAR families were originally form areas outside of the region formerly inhabited by the Creek People, and only moved in to the area AFTER the land had been ceded to US, it's highly unlikely that they would actually have any connection with the Creek Nation/People.

Both the WELCH and BLACKSHEAR families are well documented in Colonial and Federal Records.
