''And in today's Hurriyet, the Turkish news daily, references were made to this fact, adding to the speculation that the 'Eti' Turks and American Indians have a genetic relationship.

In fact, a symposium was held in New York called 'Turks and Native Americans: Common Roots?' yesterday at the Turkish Center. Speakers included, Professor Turker Ozdogan, George Washington University, Frank Keel, Dept of Interious Native Indians Bureau Northeast Director, Brian Paterson, Bear Clan Representative Oneida Indian Nation's Men's Council and President United South and Eastern Tribes, Marjorie Mandelstam Balzer, Georgetown University Research Professor and Editor of Anthropology and Archeology of Eurasia, and Carol Lujan Ph.D, Arizona State University Navajo and Pima tribes.
