My mother's family are Choctaw that remained in Mississippi. My Father has Cherokee Ancestry. Family names include Buffington, Taylor, Ward, Seal, Perry and others. The Choctaw molded their babies heads like the Mayan. When the Spanish arrived and started taking gold out of the country the people working on those ships were Turks. When the boats sank they would swim back to shore and the people would take them in. They would marry into the tribe and that is how Native Americans are related to Turks. Coastal Natives wore turbans. We did not join Islam. They joined us because we are the people that accepted everyone. We started the melting pot and married every race that came into the land. The smartest people on the face of the earth are the Native Americans that survived by being open to change and accepting all people who had the intelligence to accept them as equals. If your family goes back before the Revolution more than likely the blood of Native Americans courses through your veins. Is anyone else looking for female ancestors that were Native Americans? I'm searching for Margaret Ward born about 1784 near the Ohio River. Where modern WV, Ohio, and KY meet. I'm also searching for the father of Mary Dugear 1809 and Mathilda Perry 1839 both in Mississippi. Mary. We only have female children in the Perry family. I think the men went to Oklahoma. I would be grateful for any assistance. Sydna Notify Administrator about this message?
