Thanks I have copies of the census. I just thought this may help me in finding out more about her. I knew they were listed as white, but I had noticed on another website pertaining to native americans that there were some native americans listed as white on the census. I've seen pictures of her and to me she doesn't look completely white. I have been thinking maybe she was part. I have found information recently on her father's side that makes me think they were white. On her mother's side, however, I can't find anything. Thanks for those who replied, it probably was a scam seeing as the letter would be dated 1938 or later because of my great aunts age when she read it.
