Interesting and informative article of history. Its a sad thing to contemplate Greed and Dishonesty.
A really upsetting bit of history being written currently is the wholesale - in my opinion - attempt to once again take lands and benefits from Indian People perpetrated by folks who have no legal basis for striving to achieve their enrichment goals on the backs of the Indian.
So, the article you posted gives a nice historical perspective on a situation before the U.S. Congress, and dealt with by U.S. Courts today in 2008.
