Thank you. I wish that more people acknowledged that there are probably millions of us who really do have Native American blood coursing through our veins, even if we don't have a piece of paper saying so. I am beginning to look for my great-grandmother's family. I know she was half Cherokee. But, I don't know if her mom or dad was the full Cherokee. She died when my grandpa was only 9 and he can't remember which one was the full Cherokee. I, as well as many other family members, have blue eyes, pale skin, and blonde hair. We get that from my grandma's side, though. I teach American History to 8th graders and they usually look at me kind of funny when I tell them that I have Cherokee in me, albeit 1/32 Cherokee. Anyway, thanks for supporting us non-card-carrying-members!
