I have been having a lot of trouble locating the graves of Ambrose family members in the Nelson County, Kentucky area. My Ambroses lived mainly in the Botland and Boston areas of Nelson County, and later near Lebanon Junction in Bullitt County.
Apparently someone recorded most, if not all, of the cemetery records for Nelson County back in the 1970s. I was unable to find any Ambroses in these volumes. I find it hard to believe that ALL of them were buried in unmarked graves, but I suppose it is possible.
I am especially interested in Mathias Ambrose (born 1767) and his wife Elizabeth Halbert of Nelson County; Thomas Ambrose (born about 1802) and his wife Martha Hardy, of Bardstown, Nelson, KY; Ralph/Raphael Ambrose (born 1839) and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Barnes of Botland; and George Ambrose (born 1868) and his wife Mary Ida Miller of Boston and Lebanon Junction. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
