Hello James!
I'm sorry your message got bounced back. The address is correct, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Anyway, here we are so I can tell you what little I know about the Pittsford Ambroses. The 1850 census shows head of household as Robert (age 40) and his wife Caroline (age 31). 7 children are listed, ranging in age from 16 to 2 - Georgiana, Robert, Richard, Frederick, Edward, Albert and Elisabeth. Robert, Richard and Edward served in the Civil War and Robert died from wounds received at Fredericksburg. I've seen the graves of these 3, their mother and 2 wives. I will contact the cemetery to see if any other siblings or father Robert are buried there, but they are not in the same plot as these. It is a private cemetery and there are no religious markings at the graves. If I come across any other info about their religion, I will certainly post it for you. If you would like pictures of the graves or more detailed info about ages, please let me know. Thanks for taking the time to respond!
