From a short newspaper article dated 1/03/1862, "Local News," no city or state listed,
"Capt. James Ambrose, an old and wealthy citzen of St. Clair County, Illinois, opposite St. Louis, was murdered by his nephew last week."
Can anyone tell me anything about Capt. Ambrose?
