William & James Armstong in Virginia

I've just located a record of an acct. order of William Armstrong and it says was signed by Brother James Armstrong. William was a merchant in Winchester, married Ann Blair 1792, where did they go to? Have been difficult to track the Armstrong family as well as this couple after marriage.
Grateful for any clues.
