You might check Miami County, Ohio. My g-g-g-grandfather David B. Wallace married Elizabeth Armstrong on March 15, 1825. There were William's and James' Armstrongs in that county at that time. When David and Elizabeth moved to Carroll County, Indiana, a William Armstrong was there as well. If I remember correctly, there was also a James. Elizabeth shows her place of birth as Virginia. I believe, the believe William and James were her brothers. I'm not sure of this William's wife's name.
