Hope this helps with your ancestors from Iowa and Ireland. Judging by given names, they were most likely Protestant rather than Catholic (which makes a big difference in Irish research). If I find anything that connects to my Church of Ireland ARMSTRONGS of Crosscavanagh, Pomeroy parish -- formerly Donaghmore parish -- in County Tyrone, I'll let you know.
