Dear Mr. Ashby,
It was very kind of you to write such a detailed post. Thanks for your trouble and your effort. I have located Mrs. Hoffman's data base and am busy working up details. My son is an Ashby descendant, but his family knows very little about their Kentucky roots.
I thought the Cajuns intermarried a lot until I encountered the Ashbys--I believe they take the cake!
