Sorry. I have no clue about the ancestors of this L. H. ASHBY b. Abt. 1818 in South Carolina. The census records below indicate L.H.’s first wife was JERUSHA ? ? b. Abt. 1819 South Carolina. They probably married about 1837 in Georgia. And it appears that Jerusha died in Chikasaw Co, Mississippi, near the town of Houston. After Jersusha’s death, L.H. married in 1878 to his second wife, Mrs. LUCINDA JEAN. Furthermore, in 1850 L.H. and Jerusha were residing next door to WILLIAM ASHBY b. 1804 NC. (Are these men connected?) Here are L. H. ASHBY’s children with Jerusha. Perhaps someone out there can connect the dots. Good luck with your research.
