I’d like to add…The name TINSON might actually be a shortened version of STINSON. Kentucky birth records have two records for STINSON ASHBY and JANE GLASS giving birth to 1) EDWARD ASHBY b. 1853 in Anderson Co, KY and 2) SKINNER ASHBY b. 1855 (no county listed). FYI, Anderson County abuts Shelby County. Is this Stinson “Tinson” Ashby b. Abt. 1818 KY, the son of Tinson Ashby 1772 - 1823 and Sarah E. Catlett? As far as I know, this Stinson Ashby has not been previously researched. I always welcome updates and corrections.

1. STINSON C. "TINSON" ASHBY was born about 1818 in perhaps Shelby County, Kentucky. He married about 1837 to JANE GLASS. She was born Abt. 1820 in Kentucky.

!SPECULATION: Possible parents of Jane Glass are Robert Glass b. Abt. 1764 and Sally Owen 1780 -1837 of Shelby County, KY. Robert Glass and Sally Owen m. 1796 in Virginia (now Shelby County, Kentucky). Further research is needed. END OF SPECULATION.
