Thank you so much for your help, Marge. In surfing the several sites, there did seem to be a disconnect between the lineages.
Also thank you for your reply on William Jackson Asbhy. It sounds like you have been quite involved in tracing the family history. The maternal line of my family was not very good in keeping such records, and it is quite appreciated that there is someone out there who can help me piece it together.
Do you happen to know if there are Ashby researchers who gather together regularly to share notes, an extended family reunion of sorts?
