Thank you very much for posting your Ashby lineage. We are in the same Ashby tree but on opposite sides of the tree trunk. (I’m on the side with blue eyes.) Below are some touch-ups to ponder, pursue or reject. The outline tree (See far below.) might help a little. Apparently, cousins marrying cousins wasn’t all that unusual in the early days of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. My Ashby line in Ohio County, KY, is rife with same. Lastly, if you have solid proof that Nancy Hackney Goff is indeed the wife of Stephen Ashby I 1710 – 1797, I’m very interested in knowing your source(s). Good luck with your research.

He married TABITHA ASHBY 10 Mar 1824 in Hopkins County, Kentucky, daughter of STEPHEN ASHBY II and ELIZABETH B. ROBERTSON. She was born 14 Feb 1805 in Hopkins County, Kentucky, and died 12 Nov 1850 in Hopkins County, Kentucky.
