First, I want to forward thanks for helping me with this snag.
I recently obtained a copy of the Genealogy of Gilbert Atwood and when combined with the stuff inside the book 'Nehemiah Wood of Shenandoah Co", I now have a good tree, but alas, still nothing on the line mentioned about William (in Baltimore) and James (in Fallsburg) (which is my direct line).
Due to the 4-1-1873 fire in the Licking Co courthouse, most records were lost and I havent had much luck with Baltimore due to it is too small to have any major resources.
I do have a lot of info on the Blacklick Atwood's and I've Personally visited all the cemeteries within a hundred miles verifying information and tieing families together via burial plots and have made corrections to published documentation (as compared to what was shown on headstones) and have listed these corrections in my database of Atwood's at my website. This database is reaching 1000 entries and also covers quite a few lines and I can share this info with you if your interested.
I still am finding it hard to believe that we have no tree here and have been able to form a tree using war records and such, (next of kin, etc) but havent had much luck with an 'orphan' Atwood buried in a cemetery by himself just east of blacklick by about 10-12 miles named James who died in the mid 1800's while in his twenties (I'd have to look in my database again to be accurate). I've researched the Atwood's in Blacklick and Haven's Corners, forming a tree that merged into Columbus in a attempt to put together a tree of the southern Ohio Atwoods, which I have come pretty close in linking most of the together, even if the link goes way back to Ky or Va or Tn or NC or IL.
