A Begley DNA Project has been started at Family Tree Maker. Further info on joining and getting tested can be found at:

This will take you to a list of surname projects at Family Tree. Scroll down the list to the Begley name and click on Begley. The page to sign up and get tested will appear. I stongly suggest using the 25 marker Y-DNA test. It is more expensive than the 12 marker test but is cheaper than getting the 12 and then upgrading to the 25 marker. The objectives of the project are to determine the family line connections of the Begley, Bagley, Begly, Bagly families of the world and specifically, the ancestors of the orginal four Begley brothers, William, Thomas, Henry, and John who settled in SE Kentucky in the early 1800s.
