Connie, I have her with a birth date of 19 June 1786, but that may be a baptism date. I didn't do the work, so don't know the sources, but you might look in the New Haven CT vital records for the 1786 date. My card file has her ancestry as: Jonathan Ball (1747- ) and Anna Gibbs (1760- ) John Ball (1697-1756) and Lydia ( -1752) James Ball (1670-1730) and Elizabeth Fiske (1670-1740) John Ball and Sarah Bullard John Ball and Elizabeth Pierce John Ball ( -1655) of Watertown and Concord MA All of these earlier generations are detailed in the 1932 book by Frank Warren on this clan. Most of the data in that book has been entered into the database by Steve Rowe listed as "3203907" on RootsWeb.com. Go to http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=:3203907&id=I09561 Despite all of the addition ancestry you can find on-line, there is no valid spouse name for the immigrant John Ball, nor any further ancestry to this clan proven. The birth date of Jonathan Ball I have may be for a brother that died young and this Jonathan may have been a twin of Joseph born 10 January 1749/50. That thought needs more work. As well, the records for Abigail's family may include various spellings of her married name (Dunton, Dunten, Dutton, etc.). The Dick Dutton Master File covers a fair number of descendants of of Abigail and Ephraim. You can see them at http://wc.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=dickdutton&id=I17176 In addition to those 11 children, there may have been another boy named Merle. Hope this helps. However, you should try to verify any of these data through your own research. Dave Notify Administrator about this message?
