Nancy Ball that married William Creech is my line,
but the book is not entirely correct.
Both William and Nancy died in Mills County,Iowa.
They were both born about 1811.
William is shown on the census from VA and Nancy from Tenn.
They did live in Madison Co Arkansas-traveling there in a large family group from Harlan County,Kentucky
But they moved to Iowa about 1853-William Creech was murdered soon after -several men were shooting at a mark for money and there was a dispute and William was murdered.
He died June 27 1853.
Nancy Ball Creech stayed in Mills County,Iowa and died January 19,1882 and is buried at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery- I have been to her grave.

Bennett Creech is my line-He was my Civil War grandfather
I have proof for all lines except to prove that Nancy was the daughter of Bennett Ball.
I do have the book by Marian Carter Ledgerwood-but do not believe that DAR would use that as proof.
I know they accept some books-but do not have Nancy listed as a daughter on a will ,or obituary,
I was hoping that one of the children of Bennett had an obit listing parents and brothers and sisters.
My great grandmother was Delilah Creech(born Madison County,Arkansas) who married David Spencer Utterback in Mills County,Iowa.
They did move to California where David was a United Bretheran preacher.
I have proof to Nancy and from Bennett Ball back to several generations.

Pauline Utterback Dvorak
