Hello, I am looking for any information at all concerning the following people: - Edwin/Edward BALL, b. btw. 1828 & 1830 in Kentucky. He is listed on various census records with a differing name; I am not sure which name is correct. I believe he married at least twice: first, to a woman by the last name of MAYBERRY (or something similar). As far as I have been able to tell, he had at least three children from this first marriage - Eugene BALL, born Oct. 14, 1855 in Kentucky; James Thomas BALL, b. abt. 1858 in Missouri; and Mary E. BALL, b. abt. 1859 in Missouri. In 1860, Edwin/Edward BALL is listed with Eugene, Thomas, and Mary E. in Hunt County, Texas. No wife is listed, so I assume his first wife had died by this point. Edwin/Edward had at least three children by his second wife, Rebecca DOBBINS: 1) Cordelia Elizabeth BALL, b. Dec. 19, 1867 in Logan Co., KY; married James Buford POLSON of Barren Co., KY; died Apr. 27, 1951 in Barren Co., KY. 2) Julia A. BALL, b. Sep. 1870 in Tennessee?; married Arthur N. "Neppie" POLSON of Barren Co., KY. 3) Robert BALL, b. abt. 1874 in Kentucky. In 1870, Edwin/Edward, wife Rebecca, and family are listed in Robertson County, TN. In 1880, they are listed in Ballard County, Kentucky. Edwin's oldest son Eugene is living next door to them in 1880. Eugene is my great great grandfather. Eugene married twice and had children by both wives. His first wife, known to me only as H.F., died before 1890, and he remarried abt. 1890 to a Maggie BOHANNON. He and Maggie lived in McCracken County, Kentucky in 1910 & 1920. In 1930, Eugene and family, including several of his daughters & their husbands, moved to Mississippi County, Missouri, where Eugene died on June 18, 1932. His body was taken back to McCracken County, Kentucky for burial. I have names of Eugene's children, and their spouses, where applicable. However, I have no information about either of Eugene's wives, and have very little information about Eugene's parents. If any of these names or places sound familiar to you, please let me know - I have been stuck on this for a while and would love to find out more. Thanks so much!
