=======================================

Benjamin C. Barber, cabinet maker and undertaker since 1838, and before that a miller, was born in Franklin Co., MA, Dec. 9th, 1812, and came to Java Village, Wyoming Co., NY, in Oct., 1823, where he has since resided. He was married Sept. 29th, 1835, to ELiza Carroll, of Fitzwilliam, N.H., a native of Mass. He has been a deacon of the Baptist Church of Strykersville, NY many years. His father, Joseph Barber, came from Mass. where he was born, in 1790, to Java, Wyoming Co., NY, in 1823, brining with him a large family. He opened the first shoe shop at Java Village, and continued that business until his death, March 3rd, 1839.

I am not researching this family. I have NO further information to provide.
