Tom, I would love to hear from you, and about your ancestry from Plyer Barber.

I am in contact with two descendants of Plyer Barber, Ryan Barbour and Traci Barbour. Ryan Barber is part of the Barber family DNA project at http://www.familytreedna.com/public/barber/

Traci Barbour is trying to get one of her male relatives to take the DNA test.

Ryan is listed as a descendant of George Barber, died before 1750, Augusta County, Virginia. He is an exact match for 12 markers with Jerry Lynne Barber, who is a proven descendant of Plyer's brother, George Barber, born about 1743, Craig's Creek, Augusta County, Virginia, died 1822, Oglethorpe County, Georgia, married Margaret Watkins. Sarah Barbour, the sister of George and Plyer Barber, married Reese Watkins.

My book on the Barber family is here:

And, nobody knows Amy's maiden name as yet. And nobody has proven that Elizabeth's last name was Moore.
