I am searching the marriage of Josiah (also called Joseph) Bassett to Susan Gibbs. He was born in 1838 in AR, the son of Thomas and Sarah (McLaughlin)
Early family records say the marriage was on Aug 11, 1864, but not where. The first five children were born in either Uvalde County, Texas or McClennan County Texas, but despite searching in those and other counties the family was found in Texas, have been unsuccessful. I feel the marriage took place in Texas or even Arkansas or Missouri. Does Anyone have this information?
