Josephine Bassett, daughter of William David and Caroline Antoinette (Wheeler) Bassett, was born 11 Oct 1860 in New York City. She died 22 Sep 1942 in Mt. Vernon, Westchester County, New York. She married Frank Myers Tichenor in 1888 in Coleman's Station, Dutchess County, New York. Frank died in 1935. Josephine died in Mt. Vernon in 1942. She is buried in Valhala, New York.
Frank was an attorney who went to Columbia Law School. In 1893 when their children were very young, they moved to 75 Forster Avenue in Mt. Vernon, New York. Frank commuted to New York City to his law practice from Mt. Vernon. He was an Alderman and president of the board of education. He was president of the American National Bank. He was an active member of the First M.E. Church.
