Hello Thomas;
To the best of my knowledge her name is Alphia Batchelor. daughter of Alford (Alfred) Batchelor and Mary Reed of Walton Co. GA
She is listed in the 1850 Walton Co. 88 Division GA Census. Line 18 Dwelling # 520. or in Ancestry.com census image 74 of 166.
I am descended from her brother Joel J Batchelor.
I have a copy of Alfords Will where she is mentioned.
The will lists her as "Aultha" Bird and children John "H" and "Olivie" Don't quote me on the spelling " " as I have not deciphered the handwriting yet.
Item 5th "I will and bequeath to my daughter Aultha Bird seventy five acres of land more or less in the west part of the William Still place in the County of Walton on which she now resides for the sole use and benefit of herself and her children."
The Will was written 22 Aug 1887 and Alford died 27 Aug 1887.
I have hit a brick wall concerning Alford's parents. If you have moved forward from the date of your message I would love to share information.
