You have definitely helped me. Working on my family tree led me to the Batchelor slave owners' Thomas Aggrippa Batchelor, Sr. and to his son James Madison Batchelor. My great-great-great grandmother was born in North Carolina about 1820 and from there she was taken to Mississippi. The 1870 Census lists my great-great grandfather and his siblings as being born in Mississippi. Additionally,on the 1870 Census they are living in Chicot County, AR.

What is also interesting is a few months ago I was connected with family members for the first time who are living in California. They came from the plantation in Louisiana.
