I’m searching for info on a C. R. BATCHELOR and his spouse, Ellen Jane LANKFORD. They were married in Morgan Co, GA in 1901. I found the above information online, so I don’t have the exact date of marriage, but what I’m ultimately looking for is if this Ellen is my 2nd great gma, Ellen Jane (Morris) LANKFORD. My Ellen (b. 1868 Greene Co, GA) was said to have married 5 different times. I have several different last names for her, but I’m not sure of the husband’s first names, nor the order of marriages. My Ellen had 3 children that I know of; my great gma Annie (1899), a son Guy C. (1902) and William Robert (1911). My Ellen and Annie had the name LANKFORD on the 1900 Greene Co, GA census. No man is listed in the household. When Guy C. came along in 1902, he and Annie were placed in an orphanage, only to be taken out by my Ellen’s other husband, William Judson “Jett” Landrum when they married in 1907. I have a feeling that Annie and Guy C. were LANKFORDs by birth; I just can’t find this mystery LANKFORD man. The only way to find him is to ultimately find out if I am related to a LANKFORD. Just trying to get insight into to this marital mystery from any descendants out there. I would love to know more about C. R. BATCHELOR, esp. his date of death, which will tell me if that particular Ellen Jane that he is married to in 1901 is my 2nd great gma. I’d also like to know what his initials stand for, ethnicity, state of origin, etc. If any of their marriage records are known to exist in books or documents that anyone out there might possess, they might tell the parents names and make it easier.
