I am looking for any information on Polly Batchelor. She was my ggg grandmother. She married Cephas Fisher. They were in the Duplin/Onlsow area of N.C.
They had at least two sons Thomas Benjamin and Joseph Cephas.
Thomas married Christina Aquila Holt. (my gg grandparents)
Joseph married Sarah Margaret Swinson. They had one child Caleb Gordon Fisher. I think that line stops there since I have been unable to locate any further on them.
Ben and Christina had Folly Fern Deaner(Dana?) Fisher.
Deaner married Caroline Simmons. They had James, Vernon, Oscar, Willie (my grandfather) and a daughter Mattie (Spelling).
Willie Married Mary Simmons. They had 3 children, Clara (my mother), Douglas, and Willie Thomas Jr.
if you should happen to have any information on Polly's line would you let me know.
We are planning to visit the area in October to try and find records on the family.
Also, the Mary Simmons line remains a mystery. Her father was J.A. Simmons and mother Barbara maiden name unknown.
