Hello Margaret,
I, too am looking for info on Margaret Batchelor that marrried Andrew Vance August 1805 in Frederick County, Va.
I believe them to be my gggrandparents.

An Andrew Vance shows up in the 1810 Frederick County, Va.
Census two houses from Samuel Orndorff. I believe this cound be the clue that Andrew is the father of:
Samuel Vance born cir 1808 that married Hannah Orndorff in Frederick Co, in 1832. They lived in the Vance Cove,Star Tannery, Frederick Co. Va. and raised 10 children.

Hannah Orndorff is the dau/Samuel Orndorff and Sarah Shull.

Any info you may furnish would be greatly appreciated.
