Thomas Beall Packmaster in 1858 Steptoe Campaign

Trying to track down any information about Thomas Beall, who probably died in Lewiston, Idaho in 1921. He was a packmaster with both Col. Ed. Steptoe and Col. George Wright during their campaigns in eastern Washington (Territory) in 1858. He wrote many articles for regional papers on his experiences, but I know relatively little about his personal life, his family, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dr. J.R. Jewell
