I am trying to find my father's family. I know his mother's name was Annie Beatrice, don't know anything about his father. Bitter divorce between my parents led my mother to tell me that he died when I was a baby. I found out at the tender age of 50 that he probably was alive for most of my life. He was quite a bit older than my mother. Her name was Helen Barrentine and she was from Greenwood, MS
He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and was stationed at one time in Santa Ana, California. My understanding is that he was from Copiah County, MS.
Any information anyone might have on this family would be greatly appreciated. I am sure he is deceased now but would like to know if I have brothers or sisters or any family I am not aware of. I tried searching for him through the Army. I had his service number but they were no help. Quoted a lot about "privacy issues" to me.
