Confusion often arises because "Charity" was a common given name among Beeson women. There were also several Richard Ridgeways among the Quakers. This may help. The "Encylopedia of American Quaker Genealogy" which contains abstracts of early Monthly Meeting records has this to say. From Hopewell MM Virginia, Volume VI, page 364. Charity Beeson, born Mar 18, 1741, daughter of Edward and Martha, was reported to have married Richard Ridgeway June 1, 1761. The Beesons were members of the Hopewell meeting.
