I am overwhelmed and in tears at having all this information. It's so much more than I could have imagined, from the first time I went to Louisiana in 2005 and discovered the word Acadian and Boudreaux's, and returned wondering if I could be Acadian. My goodness, I'm very Acadian. My grandmother, Harriet Ann Bronson was born in Newton Upper Falls, but I never found a record of their marriage. I don't know her father's name as her mother was widowed in her 20's, but I don't think she was Acadian. Since it wasn't talked about, who knows. I didn't find Mass to be user friendly when I wrote to the commonwealth for Willian Francis Boudreau's birth certificate, so a marriage certificate probably wouldn't be easy to obtain. It was easy to get his death certificate from NY.
Well....you made my weekend. My whole family is getting together Monday and I will have so much to share with them. THANK YOU!

Acadian in Seattle area
