Pierre Benjamin Bourgeois (b. 1726) was found in:

Petitcoudiac 1755, as a refugee (on the New Brunswick side)
Pisiguit/Fort Edward 1760-1768
Memramcook/Grand Digue 1770 and beyond

I found this general explanation at rootsweb.com:

After the deportation, there were about 1500 Acadians quartered or stationed at Fort Edward between 1760 and 1768. By special arrangement, these Acadians
were hired as cheap skilled labor to repair and maintain the dikes in the area in return for their rations. After 1764, when the Acadians were again permitted to own land in Nova Scotia, the Planters wanted the government to continue to supply them with provisions in an attempt to encourage them to stay in the area to work on the Planters' farms.
