We have come to the conclusion this is not the right line we believe. She was married and in White County on the 1850 census and had married Nathan Vanwinkle. The verbal family history is she left VA walking by a wagon and her mother and brothers died of fever on the way. She and her dad settled in or near White County Ill. Verbal had herame as Adkins, atkins or maybe aikens but the marriage record to Van Winkl has Mary Ann Carr and that was the first marriage as far as we know.
Any help or ideas on how to move forward will be greatly appreciated as we have not been able to find her parents and grandparents.
Mary
