Hi, I just found this forum while doing some research on the origin of my great grandmothers maiden name - Herlong. She married Lloyd Elonza Bowen. My name is Andrew Lloyd Bowen. My father is Robert Allen, grandfather is Irby Bowen, Great grandfather was Lloyd Elonza and I think his father was named John. My uncle Marion has done extensive research into our genealogy and has said for years that we are kin to Daniel Boone. I must say that I was a bit sceptical but today I found reference to that fact in an excerpt to a book called Red Hills and Cotton. If there is anyone on the board who recognizes these names, please respond. BTW, we are kin to the Ryals, Herlongs, and Mothersheds.
