I can't guarantee it (and can't tell you much more), but I believe you will find John to be a son of ISAAC Bristow and you will find him firnt in the 1830 Census for Vigo. He had brothers James and Isaac Jr. Isaac died in KY, you will find him in the 1810 Census for Cumberland County. And, don't overlook the Bristow Family Association Web Site.
