First - are you related to this family? James Andrew Ware was my grandfather and that is why I'm tracing this family. I have a copy of his birth certificate from VA and it has Sarah E. Ware as mother and a Sylvester Pillsbury as father. My grandfather listed Richard Ware as his father on all paperwork that I have. I viewed microfilm from VA library and Sarah and Sylvester were listed on the following children:
Hattie Ware - b. 8/1/1885
George E. Ware - b 1/6/1887
James A. Ware - b 12/28/1888
Lucy E. Ware - b. 2/3/1891
These fit in the family tree that was listed except for the birth dates.
There were 2 children for Sarah E. Pillsbury and Sylvester Pillsbury - Alice Pillsbury b 6/8/1879 & Nannie Pillsbury b. 5/9/1880. Don't know if they are the same parents but would assume so.
My grandfather, James Ware, married Lucy Fletcher in 1911. They moved from VA to MD and then to Delaware. He never talked about his family and now I'm trying to trace it down. There are no living relatives that I know of that can provide anymore information. He had three children and they are all deceased. I'm relying on microfilm and any other information that I can obtain. Anything you can add would be greatly appreciated.
