Dear Ms. Morris, You've been on my list of possible distant Kenney relatives to e-mail for the better part of a year, and when I found your post about Abraham Bristow, I decided it was time to write, since I've been checking on him as well. (I tried sending you a message at an old e-mail address late last year, but I don't think it got through, so I decided to give in and register at last on the Gen Forum.) Anyway, I have reason to believe that Abraham was the youngest child of my great-great-aunt Sarah Kenney Bristow, who was born about 1857 and died some time after 1930. Sarah was my great-grandmother's elder sister; they were both the daughters of Abraham Colet Kenney by his first wife. ("Abraham" was a family name going back at least several generations.) My mom used to tell me stories about his second wife, whom she was very fond of. Miraculously, my mother is still alive and clear-minded at age 97. Unfortunately, she doesn't always want to talk about the past now; I think she's worried I'll dig up some family skeletons, and her generation doesn't necessarily like talking about such things! As you may have already noted, there's a 1918 death certificate for an Abraham Bristow in Missouri's online state archives (http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/). Much of the information is marked "unknown," but he died in a train wreck, and the Abraham Bristow I've found in the census records is about the right age and also worked for the railways. If you haven't gotten your information yet and this sounds like the right Bristow, do let me know, and I'll send you all I've found out about him. Best wishes, M.E.
