Harry Brockway STEUBENVILLE, Ohio ? Harry Brockway, 92, of Steubenville, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center West. He was born in Port Lynden, N.Y., July 7, 1914, the son of the late Eugene and Edna Fellows Brockway. Harry was also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Smith Brockway; his stepmother, Carrie Burge Brockway; an infant daughter, Diana Sue; a great-grandson; five brothers and four sisters. Harry was a member of the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post 33. He was an avid sports fan and a longtime fan of the Steubenville ?Big Red? football. Harry enjoyed bowling before his retirement from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a welder. After his retirement, Harry became a golfer, scoring two holes-in- one in his eighties. He coached Little League Baseball in Steubenville and a women?s softball team. Harry is survived by two sons, Harry E. (Kathleen) Brockway of Mingo Junction and David (Sondra) Brockway of Cadiz. He has three daughters, Joan (Raymond) Bell of Steubenville, Dorothy (Ken) Mazik of Mingo Junction and Eileen Nestor of Mingo Junction; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, John (Lucille) Brockway of Steubenville and Clarence ?Nick? Brockway of Florida; and a sister- in-law, Dorothy Smith Close of Steubenville. Visitation for Harry will be today, 2-4 and 7-9 at the McClave-Chandler-Mills Funeral Home, 611 N. 4th St., Steubenville. Visitation will also be Thursday at the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Proya officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction. Memorial centrifugation can be made in Harry?s name to the Bell Chapel United Methodist Church, 3419 State Rt. 213, Steubenville, OH 43952.
