According to my research, I found that my ancestor, Marcelite Broussard was not a great, great grand-daughter of Alexandre or Joseph "Beausoleil" Broussard as other research has indicated. Instead, her distant grandfather was their brother Pierre. He married Marguerite Bourg. They had a son named Joseph. Possibly he was yet another Joseph Gregoire, which is where perhaps all of the confusion begins? Joseph married Ursule Leblanc. They had a son also named Joseph Gregoire. Joseph married Anne Breau (Breaux) and their son Raphael married twice. He and his second wife, Modeste Leblanc were the parents of Marcelite, and she and her husband Francois Marigny Prince were the parents of my great, great grandmother Odile Prince. If Mitch or anyone else can confirm this, please let me know.
